How to Play in 5 Minutes
Marvel Tokon is a 4v4 tag team fighter. You do not need a fighting-game background to start winning.
1. Pick a beginner character
Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man and Wolverine are the usual starting points. They teach spacing, blocking and tag timing without demanding difficult inputs.

Fight as a team of four: attack with your active character, tag to bring in partners, and use quick tag / assist calls to keep pressure. Blocking and knowing when to tag beats mashing every time.
3. Build a balanced team
Pair a zoner (Star-Lord, Iron Man) with a rushdown or grappler (Wolverine, Hulk, Ms. Marvel) so you have an answer for every matchup. Check each character page for partner suggestions.

Learn one combo, one blockstring and one tag setup for your main. That is enough to beat most early opponents.
5. Do the tutorial properly
The Startup Battle tutorial tracks whether you skipped anything — finishing it cleanly is a trophy, and replaying it from scratch if you skip is annoying. After that, combo challenges in Character Lessons are your best teacher: you only need 100 of the 210 available for the Weapon X trophy, so five per character is enough.

- Clear the Startup Battle without skipping. It teaches the eight-button layout — if any button confuses you, the controls guide breaks each one down.
- Pick a beginner character. Spider-Man, Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord and Hulk are the ones marked as beginner picks on this site.
- Learn one launcher route — L > M > H > down+H — and one assist call (Assemble plus a direction). That covers offense and team play in one session.
- Play real matches. Losing while your muscle memory settles is normal; the tier list moves after patches, so your main may move too.
